We established this site to help people successfully use Ares. Almost everything you will find here is free. We have developed a couple of helper applications and compiled articles to help people solve problems from connecting, to stalled transfers to blank video screens.
Most variants of Ares can have connection problems. From the free versions of Ares to some of the “paid” versions. Our utility, Ares Connect, will help solve that problem. And it’s not a one time deal. It works the first time and can help anytime you stop connecting.
How does it work? Ares relies on being able to find the network of users. At times that network is elusive. We keep an updated connection file on our server. Use Ares Connect to grab that file and alert Ares to use that
file. Anytime you lose connectivity you can use Ares Connect again.
Will it solve all connectivity problems? No, the internet is a very complicated animal. You might have something blocking in your network, or your company’s network, or your ISP, or somewhere along the way. However, these problems are the minority.
Is it immediate? Usually after restarting Ares you will connect in less than a minute. But if it doesn’t, let Ares run for a couple of hours before giving up.

Why do we charge for Ares Connect? It took a bit of work to program Ares Connect. Additionally we maintain the connection file and that takes time and server resources. Besides, we are good capitalists! So we charge a nominal fee. We hope it works for you and that you continue to enjoy Ares.
Here’s one we hear about a lot. Sometimes a file transfer gets “stuck.” You know, it just sits there and never completes. It is fairly straightforward to clear this situation but not everyone really wants to spend the time to run through the steps. So we created a little application which does it for you. Introducing…
Get it. Use it when you want. It’s free.
